Install firefox for rest of the world and your mom

We geek’s know which browser is the best, its hard to explain that to our aunts, uncles or even our mother. So here is an easy way to make them switch to firefox. They biggest problem with the novice is that they don’t want do anything different to change to something new, if it works like before they don’t mind a change.

1.So the most obvious change is the icon on the desktop they have to click so what do you do. Change the firefox icon into Internet explorer icon. Just left click on the icon and select properties and from their click change icon. And it show you three different firefox icons rather than choosing them click on the address in the look for icons in the folder and delete the entire address and click okay. Then windows pops that window again but this time it shows the windows standard icons. If you slide the bar to the end you can see the Internet explorer icon, select it and click okay. Now you have something that they usual click. So no need to ask them to click on the firefox icon anymore.

2. Open the browser and go to some sites and remove all the alerts that pop up and from the options menu choose to open a new page in a new window. And disable the pop up blocker alert. Also remove the unnecessary icons from the toolbar and remove the live bookmarks toolbar too. Now it looks like Internet explorer

3.Set the firefox browser as the default browser and remove the automatic updates.

There you have it in three steps you have made their computer 80% safer. Now you can go home and sleep happily knowing that another Internet explorer user has been converted. And you don’t have to explain to them anything just tell them to use the Internet as they were using.

Play Station or PS 2 review from India

This is my long promised play station 2 review.

If you have not yet bought a playstaion 2 please go get one. Here are some details about the system and the games on ps2 that you can buy in India. And this is the cheapest way to play games in India.

Play station 2 was a gaming console launched by Sony in year 2000, so its not that old. Now you can buy this console modded for 7000 Rs at any of the black market place or on ebay or even on shopping.indiatimes.com. At that price you get a console with a dual shock and the power and TV cables and a cd for online play. Setting it is as easy as hooking up your DVD player to TV. The Console is bit smaller than the regular DVD player. Once you hook it up you put in a game cd and you play, its as simple as that. The games you can buy will cost your around 40 Rs in black market the only place that I have seen that sell these games. Can you imagine 40 Rs for a game. Some of the cd’s don’t work sometimes so get into good understanding with the seller so that you can return the bad cd’s and get replacements.

The graphics look really cool if you have played dreamcast its similar to that but you get quite a lot of games to select from. Some fo the games are really cool. Below i have given my best game or the games that you should definitely check out.

The accessories there are quite a few of them but the first one is memory card without which you can’t save your games you can get 16mb and 32 Mb cards. 16 Mb is fine for most people you can save like 20 games or so. Then there is a remote controller that can be used for controlling the player while watching DVD’s which didn’t work on my ps2. Then there is a camera called eye toy which can be used for playing some simple games and the steering wheel which can be used in games. All of the are available and at very good prices. Memory card for 16 Mb cost 800 Rs, the remote cost 300 Rs, the steering wheel cost 1500 Rs and the eyetoy costs around 2500 Rs with a games cd. There are some more acceries like keyboard and mouse and a Linux kit but I am not going into that.

Some of the things you should take note while buying your Playstation, make sure its moded with a chip otherwise you will not be able to play the 40 Rs games. Most them you buy will be moded but make sure to ask them. Playstation 2 also works as a DVD player mine doesn’t so check that out before you buy. I am not sure why this is happening may be because it was modded.

About the online play i have not tired it but the consoles comes with a Ethernet port so you can hook it up to your broadband line and you get a cd to get your started. But its so much fun playing single player you will not have time to play multi player. Get a extra controller for 250 Rs and play with your friend which will be more fun than online playing.

There are still games being released for the game so its not a dead console yet. This is the cheapest way to play games in India. Even a good graphic card cost more than 8000 Rs. And the games cost like 2000 Rs.

So why are you waiting go get one and if you want to play the best games get these games.
