Yes my fake Chinese made, ipod ripoff, broken and bruised mp4 player does this out of the box can you do it ipod. Here is what I am talking about. Can your ipod show lyrics when the songs are being played.
Here is how my mp4 player does it. Just go to this site download the Lyrics II plugin for winamp and install it and play a few mp3′s then look in the program folder of the Lyrics II plugin for the .LRC with the same names as the mp3 that you played. Copy both of them on to the player.
And when the mp4 player is playing just press the and hold the menu button and bingo there comes the lyrics in sync with the songs.
Can you do that apple, Or do I need to by another accessory for you to do that.

my mp4 player froze on the hourglass screen so i tried blowing my hot hairdryer on it for about 2 mins and now its working again.
that is quite strange, i would have thought you might need to cool it not heat it more.since it works i guess that good..i wouldn’t recommend this to other because you are trying to heat something that is already hot which is not a good thing.

Sorry to reply this late.Switch on the player and wait for the player to go completely dead without battery and then try recharging it. it should work fine. Some times this happens due to bad file on the player tooso try formatting the player too.If that doesn’t work i am guessing you player is broken.
i have a generic chinese ipod 8gb that looks like a nano and the the buttons stopped working, it still powers on, but I get no response from the buttons
i don’t know how long you had the player. Yes the buttons do get stiff after a while. Try pressing them harder. Unlike other device where there are individual buttons this is just a single button that moves to a particular side when you click. So just try clicking a little bit harder it should work. if not i am guessing its time to get a new one.
I’m the guy with the chinese mp4 player that had the non-working keys, I was just thinking that maybe i had just accidentally locked the keypad, but I have no idea how to unlock it, Do you know?

I have the same frozen screen as previously mention so I followed the recommendations and waited till the battery was dead. As soon as I hooked it to the computer the same blue screen came up. Any other suggestions? I do not have a “reset” button in the mp4.Thanks.
reply to arantzaUsually when the battery drains out, the player resets itself. try swtiching the player on for a few more time. there will bs some battery left in the player. it will just switch on and then switch off. keep doing that until it doesn’t turn on then recharge and try switching on the player and see if that helps.the only other thing i can think of is try formatting the player. If the player is not even being detected by the computer i think its pretty much dead.Good luck, mine seems be working perfectly no problem so far even after nearly two years of usuage.

HeyI got a ipod nano 8gb fake, which sucks, when i got it i try to turn it on but it wouldnt work. but when i put it in the usb charger it turns on.I tried to hold the play button down to turn it on doesnt work either.
reply to stevesince there are so many models if you can send me a picture of it may be i can help you better. take the picture of the power button and the front of the player.you need to turn on the power button which will put the player in stand by mode then hold on to the play button for a while and the screen will turn on.hope that helps..

When you turn on, the lights on the charger come up but not on the player. That could be due to faulty usb cable try changing the charging cable and see if that helps.If you are talking about the player then i think there is not much you can do other than take it for repair.

To test it put abig file that could fill the whole card and see if you get any errors andalso try and format your card and see that also. If both of them go throughwithout any problems your card is okay.Now put your card and format the card in the player. May be the card needsto be formatted in the player. Once its formatted in the player put some files onit and try playing them. Don’t format the card in the computer.Hope these tips will solve your problem.Good luck

i have a SHWY mp4 player. It works fine on usb cable, but when I unplug the cable, nothing works. This is after charging for more than 24 hours. I bought this brand new, but didnt use if for more than a year. Dont know if the battery needs serious waking up, or it’s dead. Any help?Reply from Prasanth Try using different USB cable and see if that helps. Try bending the cable it might not be charging because of the faultycable. Once you start charing after few minutes the display should come up. But if you go to the site mentioned in the blog post you can get the tools necessary to extract firmware and flash firmware etc.but adding feature to the player are really hard to do without bricking your player so be careful.
