If you were not foolish, you would have read the article well before posting the comment. You can see that I wrote vista is the smallest operating system code wise. It has the least amount of code. Not small hard disk footprint or system requirements. I read it on economist and there is that link on the blog too, that vista has the least amount of code and for all those 1000’s of peripherals that it detects automatically and all those programs its compatible to run with. And still have the least amount of code makes it the best operating system in my view. It’s like doing more with less.You might be able to put Linux or some other os at the system requirements you gave, but will it do all the things vista does, will it detect all those peripherals or run so many programs. Live in a real world man not in the past. Even if you could get an os on a system like that what would you do with it.
