So much promise but not much delivered.
I am a windows mobile user. Out of the box windows mobile does everything you need to do on a PDA and mobile without needing any app’s. It is quite stable too like that.
If not you can install many free and paid app’s. You think of it and you have an app for it.
In fact the windows mobile can be transformed into an iphone with slide to unlock and all the other features. Even get the safari browsing experience for free on opera on your windows mobile.
For half the price of an iphone.
Can you turn an iphone into windows mobile you might ask why would anyone do that, but can you? That is what I am talking about.
I wonder why other operating systems didn’t take off. They never allowed this much customization and openness. Look at palm OS, its in the dump already.
Apple if Iphone isn’t opened up soon you are doomed to be over taken by the copy machines at Microsoft.
It doesn’t take much to create a touch screen UI similar to iphone on a windows mobile.

Hi Prashant, I have got a iphone from the grey market. What precautions do Ineed to take since the phone is not launched in India? I get to hear that thephone can get locked. If its set to auto update try and remove to manual. hi Sumit..looks like ur iphone unlock didnt work properly.. u need to restore & re-unlock it.here are steps for unlock1. download 1.1.3 firmware upgrade.. path mentioned in Prashanth blog.2. connect to iTune with ur iPhone connected to machine.. it will show ur iPhone connected to iTunes. Select “Shift button + RESTORE”..it will show u window to select latest firmware upgrade. Select the one downloaded above. Restore your iPhone to 1.1.33. Download ZiPhone GUI from http://i.unlock.no .. best one available.. SElect Advance option and check Off BBdowngrader option. U dont want that else your google locate me wont work.4. run ZiPhone and unlock it.(U have already done it once..so assuming that u will manage this without any problems
) )5. BSDSubSystem : need to have wifi or enable GPRS and install itsame of other applications,,……issues taht you will face after 1.1.3 upgrade1. SMS Disorder2. contact no displayed instead of contact name whn call comesFixes are available for these but make sure that your iPhone is working properly..then go for these..
