I just visit two sites from India
The headline tells a story. The only two sites i visit in India are Rediff.com and Techtree.com.
Rediff for the news, not the best in any sense but its just easier and quicker to load.
Techtree for the prices of gadgets that they review. Which usually are at the end of the reviews and at least off quite a bit of what we can get in the market. I check so that i get an idea at what price not to buy that product.
Thats it.
Am i the only one, what others sites do you visit. I occasionally go to some shopping sites other than that all the sites i go to are international.
That is a bad sign for the Indian internet community. There is no compelling site out there that i need to visit everyday in India at the moment. Most of the sites just borrow news from their international counterparts or are just static pages that are never updated.
Unless someone seriously comes up with some good content you will not see me on any Indian sites.
If you have some recommendations or sites i should check out let me know.
Internet slows in India because sea cable cuts
when i saw the stories online i thought seriously this will slow me down.
Internet is always slow in India even if the cables were not cut. So we wouldn’t know the difference. Most people would think that its just another Indian isp internet problem day. Here if internet is down it will take time to fix it. So even it was out for a week or so most people would still think it was some problem with their isp.
No one would even consider thinking that may be the internet backbone has some problem. That’s because the internet we get in India is always slow and riddled with choppy connections.
All this news have done is given the isp’s an excuse to tell customers for a few months.

Why is apple holding on to copy, paste on iphone
The simple answer is they want one feature that will make everyone update their firmwares without thinking.
And that one feature is copy and paste. They will add it when they release the SDK. So that everyone updates their iphones and apple can control who gets to put apps on iphone.
It all makes sense, people will upgrade without thinking if apples adds copy and paste to the iphone. In the process apple can introduce some strict measure so that only they can install apps on iphone. At least that is why they are holding on to that feature. They don’t know that iphone application key has been leaked on the internet already.
And here are some of my speculations on how this features will be implemented. Are you seriously going to start a rumor about how this feature will be implemented. I sure am.
I think it will be similar to the home screen jiggly thing. Once you press and hold your finger for a while on any text. You will get a magnifying glass but this time it will be colored yellow and when you move it all the text where it was moved to will be highlighted in yellow and copied on to clipboard. Then just press and hold where you want to paste and it will paste. Let see what apple will come up with. My implementation seems quite user friendly.
The highlighted text color could be Grey or Blue too.
