Apple has recently released iphone 2.0 firmware. If you have a 3g iphone it will come with iphone 2.0 firmware. But what about the iphone 2g people should we get the new firmware.
There are reports that it has been jail broken already and can be installed on the old iphone’s.
But I am not going to do it at least for the near future. Just because there is not much new in the iphone 2.0 firmware that I can’t already do with my 1.1.4 iphone firmware.
If you want mobile me and other stuff I think iphone 2.0 is a must, but will it work with a unlocked iphone is another question. I don’t think it will at least at the moment.
Not only that, people are already complaining that their iphone have been bricked, so its not recommended at this time.
Stick to iphone firmware 1.1.4 and hope someone finds a hack to install app’s from itunes. Which I bet we will be able to install in a few days time.
