Apple here is a suggestion for iOS 7
instant payday loans online
I like how iOS has apps on the home screen. But keeping them arranged is a pain.
So why not have a setting where you can arrange the icons by different rules.
1. Most used, where apps are arranged based in how many times they are opened. After a certain number of times app moves up in place.
2. Categories, arrange apps by category. When user selects this, apps are arranged category wise.
3. Last opened, where apps are arranged based on when they are opened.
4. Last day opened where apps opened previous day are given prominence.
This can be implemented system wide.
Or
if you don’t want to change too much.
Use the space below the search screen to show these apps. That space is left blank before you search. Putting these list apps there will make it quick and easy for users, to get to the apps they use more frequently quicker, without searching.
These are some of my ideas to change the app home screen without changing too much.
New users can use it how it’s now. Advance uses could change the settings to their liking.

Google reader was bound to fail, just too much
I have been using google reader on and off for a few years now. I know why the usage was down, and why stuff like google reader was never going to survive.
There is just too much news out there.
You might say there was always too much news out there. Let see how i used google reader.
I had about 30 feeds in my google reader. Everyday i had more than 1000 stories to read. No sooner i finished them more were coming in.
Here are some examples
Techmeme before you would only get about 10 stories a day. Now it crosses 200 Stories per day.
Before just reading engadget or gizmodo was fine. Now you have to add Verge into that list and all of them have tripled their stories per day. Each one publishes nearly 100 stories per day.
Even if i just hit mark all as read next day there will be 1000 more stories. Unlike regular webpages, Google reader remember every story until you read it.
This is the reason why people were using less and less of google reader and why flipboard and other apps have become popular.
Flipboard if you miss one day, new stories are ready next day. You don’t have to worry about old stories. But in google reader they will be waiting for you to read and clean, which is one more chore people had to do every day.
This is why facebook and twitter are also popular. You can hop on when you want to read few stories and just ignore when you don’t want. There is no unread tweets section etc.
With so much information out there google reader was bound to fail.
Now that google reader is going away i will just stick to few sites and read them on the web. No more feeling guilty of not reading..

Tell me you heard of Popatrao Pawar, amazing Indian
Popatrao Pawar the village head of Hiware Bazar in the Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra. Who has accomplished amazing feets for his village.
Before he took over the reins, the village suffered many problems: there was hardly any agriculture in the village from a lack of water, causing villagers to migrate elsewhere as daily wage labourers; the school was non-functional; domestic violence and village fights punctuated lives as alcoholism was rampant; and the surrounding eco-system was seriously degraded.
His village had all the problem any other village in India has and this is how he improved them.
Now there are decent-looking houses all over and villagers look content, glowing with happiness. The monthly per capital income has crossed Rs. 30,000, and in a village of 235 families and 1,250 individuals, there are 60 millionaires!
Thats an amazing accomplishment, he did all this while dealing with major issues like water, caste, religion etc.
Its a welcome change to know about people like Popatrao Pawar. Who are trying to improve India like this. We need people like him in national politics.
The most amazing thing is after all this
In addition, Pawar has stepped down from the village headman’s position (remaining as deputy sarpanch) to allow a woman to replace him.
This is unheard of when people so hungry for power a man is willing to give it up.
Read more about how he transformed his Village to 60 Millionaires! and also Popatrao Pawar profile here.

Too much of everything
Before I could celebrate the Real Madrid win over Barcelona there was a league match. Before I could celebrate that Real Madrid win over Barcelona in that match. There is a champions league match where Real Madrid win over Manchester United.
That 3 big high profile matches in the span of three weeks.
Then there is Cricket
Before Indian victory over Australia can be celebrated there is a match in Hyderabad. Before I can celebrate and cherish that performance there will be another match.
Before you know this series will be over and next one will begin and we will not have time to enjoy a series win. Australia will not have time to contemplate their performance, its time for next series.
Same goes for Everything
Before I can think and save for iPhone the next one is launched. Before I can get use to the 5 inch Galaxy S3 new Galaxy S4 is launched.
Why not let your product have at least a years time in the market to succeed. Why bring in newer model so quickly. Why not give customers a chance to buy your product.
Same goes for cars before you can dream and save up for a car model, new one is launched.
Can every body slow the fuck down a little and let us have little breathing space. So that we can Enjoy our victories, contemplate our defeats and save for our dreams.

No more press event unless you have something to show
All the tech sites and news sites should grow some balls.
All of these sites in single voice should announce that they will not cover any future events. Unless the itinerary is announced ahead of time.
No more hyping and covering every event the company puts up. This is the second time this is happening. Samsung did this at CES and now Sony with Playstation 4.
What is the point of announcing such events if you have nothing major to show.
By doing this you are leaving many question in peoples mind about why you couldn’t show the console.
Is it not ready, was this event just to buy some time. Who is this helping, not Sony i think.
So stop these unnecessary press conference before you lose your actually customers.

No more cases on your phones please

Don’t know the logical thinking behind putting cover on phones. If there is some kind of battery pack in there, then may be.
But putting a ugly bulky case on a beautifully designed mobile is crazy.
Companies like Apple put so much effort into making their phones sleeker and stylish, then you go and put a cheap ugly case on it and ruin it.
Apple uses gorilla glass and aluminium to make sure normal scratches don’t affect the phone. So why put an ugly case and ruin such a beautiful design.
If you take care of your phone reasonable it should look pretty and last quite a bit without a case.
The moment you put case you are also bound to neglect the phone thinking the case will protect it.

Would you buy a Ferrari and wrap it in a cover?
So stop worrying and start enjoying using your beautiful, slim mobile that you paid so much money for.
So no more cases please…

Enough with these stupid warnings
What’s with the warnings for cigarettes even in adult rated movies.
Seriously who is this adult who doesn’t know cigarettes are injurious to health.
Do the government really think that people who are still smoking are going to change because of these warning.
What next warnings for guns, cars, alcohol, religion etc.
When will this end.
This is just a distraction during movies. Go watch Gangster squad which is in theatres now. Every time the warning comes up it takes you out of the movie.
After watching the movie you will realise cigarettes are least of your worries.
If they think cigarettes are such bad things just ban them from being sold. There are already enough warnings on the packaging of the product.
Why do we need to ruin the movie experience for non smokers too. Enough with these warnings lets all grow up a little.
