No more unlimited connections.

There is a bandwidth limit on all data connections.

Even aircel is offering only 2GB on their 98 Rs per month unlimited 2G data

read the fine print there should be a mention of fair use.

The best you can get with the 2G sim is about 20 Kbps

All you can do is change the dns in your dialer app settings.

Speed also depend on where you are, like if you are in a middle of the busy city the connection will be slow.

If you are in a village it will be very fast as not many users are there.

Disabling pictures and disable flash in your browser will also help the speed.

To disable these search the plugin section of your browser.

There is a data limit when you reach it the connection slows down.

for 98 Rs you will only get 250 MB. After that you will get slow speed.

There is no unlimited 3G in India. 3G is costly it costs 1000 Rs for 10 GB.

Get wired broadband if you want cheap and fast internet.

Since you only need connection when you come to india. Tata photon is a good option but they only have post paid option.

There is no easy way. You will have to get a 3G data card and a 3G wifi router.

BSNL 3G and Tataphon data cards offer good value buys and will work all over India.

Tataphon offers 2500 Rs for 6 GB for six months.

3G is still costly in India and there are no unlimited plans.

tataphoton wifi 5999 + 900 for 6 GB X 12 months post paid = 16799 Rs (6 GB per month)
3G data card 3000 + 2500 for 6 gb for 6 months X 2 times per year = 8000 Rs (1 GB per month)

It depends on how many times you come to India and how much bandwidth you need.

Sorry don't know specific 3G router models.

Dear Sir,
yesterday i credited my bsnl account with 98RS data plan and i also get 3g speed of 2 mb.
But only after 2 hours my data card start giving me a speed of only 100kb.
I talked to costumer care but they says that change your APN from bsnlnet to gprsnorth.3gmobile.in but it doesn't work. A website says that there should be balance above 50RS so I also credited my account with 68Rs but it doesn,t work..
What can i do plz help me.....

I was searching for pocket wifi and found your website useful. I live outside India but visit India frequently. I use iPhone but I can not switch it on in India because the internaitonal roaming charge for use in India is very high. Thought of getting pocket wifi, so that i can connect the same to my iPhone whenever I am in India. Which connection/company do you suggest? best, Harry
